Stage 4

In this stage, we are learning all about number up to 100.

We will be learning to: 

• read, recognise and write numbers to 100.
• count forwards to and backwards from 100.
• say the number before/after a number up to 100.
• order numbers to 100.
• skip count forwards in 2's, 5's and 10's to 100.
• recognise teen numbers are 10 plus another number less than 10.
• know how many 10's are in a number up to 100.
• add groups of 10's up to 100.
• know doubles and halves up to 20.
• count and gather up to 100 objects.
• add to 2 groups of object together up 100.
• take away a set of objects from a group of up to 100.
• solve addition problems by counting on from the largest number in your head.
• solve subtraction problems by counting backwards from the largest number in your head.
• solve problems by skip counting in 2's, 5's and 10's.
